Starting with nearly nothing, barely graduating high school from summer school, zero college experience, lifelong tradesmen and financially illiterate until my late 30s, now at 47 we’re EXTREMELY close to a $1M net worth. Eight things that worked come to mind: 1. If you’re serious about changing your life, you’ll find a way. If not, you’ll find excuses. 2. Take action NOW. No matter the result, you’ll get data to make better decisions with. Action = Data. 3. You don’t need to know everything before you start. I went from financially clueless to almost $1M. Learn as you go. 4. Spend less than you earn. It’s non-negotiable. 5. Turning the interest payments around is HUGE! Compounding in reverse is when you pay interest. Flip it and work towards being paid interest. 6. Stay consistent. Keep going even when progress feels invisible. That’s when it matters most. 7. Track your progress. Checking the numbers kept me motivated and honest with myself. 8. Patience. It happened very slowly and then all at once! Your future self will thank you for starting today.😎

I was financially illiterated too until my late 30's. Despites college degree and 6 figures salary I was broke. 2026 will be my third year as investor and my net worth reached over 120k$. Happy new year
