Your fund bills you every single year. Most investors never even look at it. $VTI costs $3 a year on every $10K you hold. $VOO, same deal. $SCHD runs you $6. $QQQM runs $15. Sounds like nothing. On a small account, honestly, it IS nothing. My first account was tiny. Fees were the last thing on my mind. But fees compound, same as returns do. 0.03% vs 0.15%, on $100K over 20 years? That's about $12K gone. Just for holding the pricier fund. Not a scam. Just math. So where's your line? At what account size do YOU start caring about fees? 👀

My FSELX costs me 0.60 % or 17.84 a year. I earn a great deal from this mutual fund and they more than make up for it with the dividends at the middle and end of year. So a keeper
