$ SOFI is down almost 40% this year. Meanwhile revenue is UP 42%. Make it make sense. 🤯 The business: Q2 earnings beat. $1.21B revenue. Record $10.7B in personal loan originations. $45.5B in deposits, up 16X since the 2022 bank charter. 15.8 million members and climbing. The stock: $15.77. Down from a $32.73 high. About 50% off its peak. 21X forward earnings against 40%+ earnings growth. Analysts' average target sits 43% above here. The bear case is real though. They lost Chime as a client last year. The Fed raised rates in September. They raised revenue guidance but not EPS guidance. Costs matter. But I keep going back to one number. Revenue up 42%, stock down 40%. That gap almost never stays open forever. Earnings drop October 27. Next verdict is coming. I'm long $SOFI & I'm not selling. This one is a long-term buy & hold for me. $HOOD gets all the fintech hype. $SOFI gets the discount. Which fintech do YOU trust more right now? The high flyer or the beaten-down bank? Where do you stand? 👀
