I had a great afternoon at my first Blossom Con yesterday in Vancouver! I’ll be back next year with more experience behind my belt and a bigger investment account!👏 It was great to connect with a few of my favourite financial podcast peeps, keep up the great work!
I drove up to BlossomCon yesterday, from Seattle, and am really glad I did. The Parq Marriott Vancouver was a great venue and the amenities provided were excellent. The vendors that were there were solely focused on the Canadian market, which didn’t particularly do me much good as an American. I didn’t have any problem with this though as they’re addressing their market. One thing on this that stuck out was the amount of vendors that had to fly into Vancouver. These companies are taking Blossom and Blossom’s users seriously. For me, the highlight was getting to meet fellow Blossom users. Had some great discussions and there was great energy. The panels were great too. Had a chance to chat with Max. Great guy, and he took the time to explain some of the upcoming improvements to the Blossom user experience. I have great faith in the direction the company is going. Also I’m looking forward to what the team will come up with in the years to come. Should I have the chance to attend again I’ll just go for two nights in the hotel. It’s better than dealing with Immigration twice in one day. Of note, took this cool photo of a bear statue at the ground level of the Parq Marriott, close to the valet. The statue of a bear just wasn’t what I was expecting at a conference full of investors. Apparently I Forgot to Take Pictures After getting home from BlossomCon, I realized something. I barely took any pictures or video. In fact, the pictures I’m sharing with this post are mostly of the swag and gifts I came home with. And there’s actually a reason for that. I didn’t even get a chance to look through the bags until I got home. That’s when I found the really thoughtful gift and handwritten card from the @blossom Blossom team thanking me for being part of the panel. So before anything else, I really want to say thank you to the entire Blossom team. Not just for the gift, but for inviting me to be part of the panel and for everything that went into putting BlossomCon together. It was my first BlossomCon and I really didn’t know what to expect. Once I got there, the day just disappeared. Between meeting people I’d only known through Blossom, being part of the panel and just talking to people throughout the day, I don’t think I stopped. Before I knew it, it was over. I barely recorded anything, didn’t take nearly enough pictures and didn’t spend as much time checking out the booths as I’d hoped. But you know what? I’m actually okay with that. I was too busy talking to people and enjoying the experience. And when I think about it, that’s probably the best way I could have spent my first BlossomCon. I got to take a lot of those connections I’ve made online and actually meet the people behind them. And I also came home thinking about some of the things I heard from the speakers and conversations I had throughout the day. I learned some things. And isn’t that really part of the reason we go to something like this? Speaking of those online connections, I also realized my profile picture wasn’t doing me any favours. Hat. Sunglasses. Half my face covered. So I changed it. And then I figured I might as well change my YouTube profile picture too. So if you’re wondering why my face suddenly looks different around here… you can blame BlossomCon. Now I need some help. For those of you who actually remembered to take pictures, I’d love to see them. If you’ve got pictures from BlossomCon — especially if I happen to be in any of them — throw them in the comments. Apparently I’m going to have to crowdsource my BlossomCon photo album. But there’s something else I’d really like to hear about. What did you learn? Maybe it was something one of the speakers said. Maybe it came from a conversation you had. Maybe somebody said something you completely disagreed with and it made you go home and learn more about it. And even if you weren’t at BlossomCon, same question: What’s something you’ve learned recently that made you think differently about investing or your finances? Because for me, that’s what financial literacy is really about. If you’re just following what I or someone else is doing and copying it, are you really learning? Ask why. Challenge yourself to understand it. You don’t have to agree with me. You don’t have to agree with anyone else here either. Sometimes being challenged or disagreeing with someone is exactly what makes us go learn something new. I always say I’m just a regular Canadian who thought it was too late to start investing. I started anyway, and I’m proving every day that it’s never too late to build wealth. And I absolutely believe that. But the more I learn, the more I realize that before we can build wealth, we need to build our financial literacy. So thank you again to the entire Blossom team for an incredible first BlossomCon. I may not have come home with many pictures of my own… but I definitely came home with a lot more than I arrived with. read more

Well Deserved, Moe! I wanted to take a minute to congratulate @moementumfinance on receiving the Blossom MVP Creator Award yesterday. I really can’t think of a more deserving person. Early on in my YouTube journey, Moe invited me onto his channel for an interview. But I was also very early in my investing journey. I’ve only been investing seriously for just over three years, so at the time I was very much still learning and finding my way. I remember being nervous. That interview challenged me. I had to explain what I was doing, why I was doing it and talk about investing with someone who had been doing this a lot longer than I had. But it also gave me some confidence. It made me realize that while I’ll never have all the answers — and hopefully I’ll never stop learning — I had started to build a foundation that allowed me to have these conversations and share my journey with other people. Moe gave me that opportunity early on, and I’ve never forgotten it. So fast forward to yesterday, and somehow I’m sitting on a stage beside him at BlossomCon. 😂 That was definitely a bit of a “how did I get here?” moment for me, and it was genuinely an honour to share the stage with him. Yesterday was also the first time Moe and I had actually met in person. We ended up spending most of the day together, from early in the morning right through BlossomCon. And it never really felt like I was meeting him for the first time. It felt like I was spending the day with a friend I’d known for a long time. One of the things that really stood out to me was just how humble Moe is. For someone who has interviewed so many people, built what he’s built and was literally there receiving a VIP Creator Award, there was never any sense that the day was about him. He was interested in everyone else. He listened, asked questions, laughed and just enjoyed being part of the community. That’s Moe. He’s smart, but he doesn’t need to be the smartest person in the room. He’s a great listener, he’s empathetic and he genuinely cares about the people he’s talking to. And after finally spending a day with him in person, I can tell you the Moe you see on camera is exactly the Moe you meet in real life. There’s just a positive energy around him. And I think that’s one of the coolest things about Blossom. The app brings us together, but the relationships become an extension of the app. Moe is a perfect example of that. Through his interviews and his content, he’s brought so many people from this community together and given them an opportunity to tell their stories. We don’t all have to invest the same way or agree on everything. We can challenge each other, learn from each other and still come together over this shared interest in investing and personal finance. Moe has been doing exactly that for a long time. That’s what makes him such a great ambassador for Blossom and why I think this award is so well deserved. This was my second time attending the Vancouver event, and it was really great to see the creators and the amazing community of people who are so passionate about finance. For me, Blossom has played a huge part in my investing journey. I went from being scared to invest even $100 in the stock market to having around $40K invested in ETFs together with my partner in last few years. It’s been quite a journey, and I’m really grateful for everything I’ve learned along the way. This weekend I had the opportunity to attend BlossomCon 2026 in Vancouver, and it was genuinely one of the most inspiring events I’ve attended. What stood out to me wasn’t just the conversations about investing, entrepreneurship, and building wealth — it was the people. I had the chance to meet founders, investors, finance professionals, content creators, and so many ambitious young people who are genuinely excited about their financial futures. One thing I’ve become increasingly passionate about is getting more young Canadians interested in investing and financial literacy. Seeing thousands of people come together around that same idea made me realize just how much potential there is to change the way our generation thinks about money. I also had some incredible conversations with people I probably never would have crossed paths with otherwise, and walked away with new perspectives, connections, and a lot of motivation. Huge thank you to the entire Blossom team for bringing something like this to Vancouver and creating a space where young investors can learn, connect, and actually feel excited about finance. I attended BlossomCon in Vancouver yesterday, and it was amazing to see so many like-minded individuals who are genuinely interested in investing. The team at Blossom and their sponsors put on a fantastic conference—from the panel topics and speakers to all the sponsor booths that helped make the event a huge success. 👏 A big shoutout to the team for creating such a fun event and providing a platform for people to have real-life conversations about money, which used to be so taboo. It was awesome meeting social media creators and hearing about their journeys in person. 🤝 I will definitely be attending again next year! 🚀
BLOSSOM WAS A SUCCESS GUYS! I met a lot of people but I was shy to come up and talk/ask for pictures BUT THE PANELS WERE VERY FRUITFUL! I met AMAZING PEOPLE! I also got to meet @joyeeyang and @humbledtrader who were the main people behind my current financial journey. (Joyee was the reason I started investing when I was 18 and now I’m 20, meeting so many savvy people) I also got to meet @williamwang23 and his wife Jess which were very kind people. I had a fun conversation with her and Will introduced me to Moe! Thank you again! I also met @moementumfinance which was veryy exciting! I listened to him when he spoke and he is also the first Edmontonian I’ve met that is also in Blossom! Last but definitely not the least, I witnessed and listened to VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE, met the Blossom Team for the first time, and had the chance to sit on each and every panel interview which was awesome. Break Time but I enjoy People Watching so just sitting here as I take in the sight of financially savvy people who brought me to this community. They are such role models to me that it felt like what they do is unreachable for what I currently am, but attending this and seeing them made me think that I can do it too.

Yesterday was such an amazing day at Blossom Con. It was awesome getting to connect with investors from all over North America. I originally created my Blossom account a few years ago because I love finance and enjoy sharing my thoughts and experiences. I never expected it to turn into a community where so many of us support and encourage each other. Thank you to everyone who came up to say hi to my wife and me. So many of you shared how my posts have encouraged you, motivated you to start investing, or simply made you think differently about your finances. That honestly means a lot. I had one conversation with a young guy who told me he wanted to work overtime and invest as much as he could in his early 20s after seeing some of my posts. Hearing things like that is pretty cool and makes all the time spent posting completely worth it. But it goes both ways. The conversations I had yesterday also gave me a boost and reminded me why I started sharing in the first place. So I’ll keep posting my random financial thoughts, lessons and experiences 😂 I loved connecting with everyone, and my wife had an absolute blast as well. Officially a BlossomCon ‘er lol @blossom I didn’t really know what to expect but it was a wonderful time. Really well thoughtout event and a huge diverse crowd. I was specially impressed with how much everyone was involved and hands on during the entire event, specially @maxstocks 👏🏽 It made me like the app even more because I was able to put a face/s and human/s touch to the entire brand and the hard work it goes into it all. Enjoyed all of the diff expertise and knowledge shared by the blossom speakers.
