How? I increased my income! I work a 9–5. I don't have a get-rich-quick scheme or a side hustle recommendation. For me, increasing my income through my career was the most realistic way to do it. One of the most effective ways to increase your income can be changing jobs.When I changed jobs, I got a 30% increase in gross pay. The role was hybrid and close to home, so my expenses didn't increase much. It's so easy to get comfortable in a job. I genuinely loved my previous job, but I also knew where I wanted to be financially, and my investments weren't where I wanted them to be. If you're in a position to explore other opportunities, sometimes finding a role that gives you more income while still working with your lifestyle can be one of the best things you do for yourself!!! And instead of letting the extra income turn into lifestyle inflation, I pretended I was STILL making my old salary and invested the difference. I still travelled, ordered takeout, went out with friends and spent money on things I enjoyed. And whenever I had a surplus after my expenses, I invested it. Again and again and again!! My biggest recommendation? Keep your resume up to date.Write down your accomplishments, skills etc. as they happen!! You can't pursue opportunities you're not prepared for Unfortunately, I was laid off from that job. Now I have a new job, and I had to make different sacrifices. My commute is about 100 km a day 😂 and my budget has changed. But I'm still aggressively investing toward $100K. hopefully less than two years! Did you see a salary hike after leaving a job?

Yes, changing jobs can definitely lead to a nice salary bump! It's often one of the quickest ways to increase your income. I did switch few jobs. However, I also chose my home to generate rental income so I can invest aggressively each month. Good luck with your goal of hitting $100K in the next two years—that's a fantastic milestone!
