These are my core 5 and I wouldn’t change them , but I do adjust the % for my needs at different ages and other factors. VOO — The Boss: “I’ll own America.” SCHD — The Landlord: “Pay me while we wait.” QQQM — The Race Car: “I’ll bet on innovation.” SPMO — The Gunslinger: “I don’t need to predict tomorrow’s winners. Show me who’s winning and I’ll ride with them.” 😎 VXUS — The Insurance Policy: “One day you’re going to be glad I’m here.” If I had to go with 3 VOO 50% / QQQM 30% / SCHD 20% And if he allowed a fourth, you already know what happens. 😂 VOO 40% / QQQM 25% / SCHD 25% / SPMO 10% We can wander through AI, semiconductors, energy, copper, dividends, momentum, international, VTI vs. VOO… and somehow we keep ending up back at the same core names. Your XLE is the interesting part. That’s a deliberate sector bet rather than a core building block. I wouldn’t give up QQQM or SCHD just to make room for a big dedicated energy position. VOO already owns the major energy companies anyway. And AOTG is the one I’d investigate before putting a dollar into it. That’s much less of a plain-vanilla core ETF than VTI/XLE. 😎
