Hey Blossom! 🌸 Sooo moving back home this month hasn't saved me as much money as I thought it would! My goal is to increase my monthly investments from $1,000 to $1,500 (split between $XEQT and $VDY plus any surplus I have left at the end of the month. But between contributing to the household and spending more on gas for my commute, my expenses haven't decreased as much as I expected! 🥲 But here's the beauty of my situation: flexibility I'm the one who offered to pay rent in the first place because I'm an adult, and I'm not in my twenties anymore LOL so of course I should also contribute to the household. BUT I have been open with my family about my financial goals, and they understand that there may be times when I need to contribute less toward rent to prioritize investing. I still contribute through groceries, cleaning, laundry, and helping around the house. Something else I've realized is that I could have invested aggressively even when I lived alone. I lived well below my means, and the fact that I could have saved and invested a similar amount back then speaks volumes about how much flexibility I already had. So here's your reminder to take some time to look at how much you could actively be investing. You might have more room in your budget than you think! Surround yourself with people who support your financial goals, believe in what you're capable of, and encourage you to think bigger. Not to quote Scotiabank, but you might be richer than you think. 😉🌸 I'm looking forward to seeing where my portfolio will be next year with my aggressive saving plans. thank you to this community for motivating me and encouraging me as always! Have you ever looked at your finances and realized you could be doing more with the money you already earn? happy investing!

Love that you’re contributing to your family without losing sight of your goals! I’ve been a saver, not an investor, but this community is changing that — I will be a millionaire someday ! 💰

Great work! I wish I had a family here. I came as an immigrant and I am the only one here from my family ☝️ living by myself. These are some of the tough days for me.
