Gold and Silver. Is it Really all Just Luck?๐๐งงโ๐
Iโve seen some recent posts on Blossom ๐ธ that have me somewhat perturbed and actually a little bit annoyed.๐ Some people have been saying that all the people that have been investing in gold and silver over the last few months have just been lucky?๐ And I saw some comments saying that there was no way anyone could have predicted that gold and silver would have skyrocketed like they have over the last few months! I mean to post that gold and silver investors are just lucky seems to totally disregard the research and reasoning of why those investors ๏ฟผmade these investments in the first place. These Blossom posts seem to suggest that anyone that has been investing in gold and silver, and making massive gains, has been all just dumb luck, with no skill involved! To me it seems as if these Blossom posters may just have a case of sour grapes? ๐ฆ๐ Perhaps these complainers just missed the huge surge in gold and silver, so they are saying that the people that did buy gold and silver are just lucky? Basically these complainers are insulting the gold and silver investors!๏ฟผ๏ฟผ Saying that they are just lucky and not giving the gold and silver investors any credit ๏ฟผ or saying that they have some skill or made some smart investment decisions. ๏ฟผ Maybe these complainers just have a case of sour grapes? ๐ฆ๐ โ๐ Over the past several months I have been building up my positions in the gold ETF $GLDM, the silver ETF $SLV and the gold and silver miner $USA. My $SLV position has made gains of +94% or +$38,719 CAD. My $USA position has made gains of +105% or +$55,514 ๏ฟผCAD. Recently, Iโve been dabbling in a bit of gold and silver related ๏ฟผcall options, to try to make larger asymmetric gains, plus to have a little bit of extra fun!๐ My call options in $SLV๏ฟผ have made gains of +441%!๐ My call options in $USAS have made gains of between +213% and +218%!๐ Have all my gains in gold and silver investments been just dumb luck or has it been something else? ๏ฟผ๐๐ค๐ช๐ค๐๐

Since joining Blossom in April 2024, I came across @beskar_capital posts that featured mining stocks in particular. While I personally did not have any previous experience and knowledge in commodities, materials and resource stocks, it was his posts on the depth of these stocks and resources that sit in Canada and how Canadians just seemed to be ignoring them. It has been 20 months of research and investigating commodity cycles, and the role materials play in our economy and I have witnessed first hand the deliberate and intentional investing strategies of @beskar_capital and many others like Rick Rule speak to the rise of copper, then gold and silver that were investing well ahead of the pack. As an experiment I bought $USA and $ELE at this time to have first hand tangible experience with the cycle. Not a large amount, but I have seen others on Blossom invest hundreds of thousands and reap a 2x of their portfolio over this time. Investing requires luck in any and every stock buy or trade. But itโs about improving your probabilities by getting on the right side of cycles, macros, and time. Itโs been a wonderful learning experience. If I had been working and had further contributions my risk reward would have allowed me to have made a much larger move into gold and silver. But for now I have thoroughly enjoyed the process and witnessing others make tremendous gains. Many thanks @beskar_capital. Great post , the same ones that are saying we got lucky - are the ones talking about tech stock , denial of a bubble and it was all skill and research to why they made money . Everyone is a genius in a bull market and if they do enough research what happens when the US dollar goes down in value
