So it seems like I have been gone… but in actuality I have been super distracted with life, games apps, and trying to spend time with ‘Mrs. Investing Cat.’ But while it may seem like I’m absent, my portfolio has still been working hard. Or as the past few days have shown… it’s been hardly working. Regardless, I am fairly diversified and invested into companies I feel confident about. That allows me the freedom from constantly monitoring my accounts or endlessly searching for the next big thing. And that’s the main reason I invest. It’s to free up my greatest asset, time. ⭐️Time to relax ⭐️Time to spend with loved ones ⭐️ Time to build memories 💥 Time to crush my enemies in virtual worlds within phone games. I think all too often, we get caught up in trying to maximize growth and income. We spend way too much time on social media. We read way too much about topics we never implement or give us any value. We waste our most precious asset of time. So let the CFOs worry about margins. Focus on you and yours. Everything will be alright in the long term. I’m kinda curious about how everyone else balances their time. What changes have you made to your portfolio or investing style to help create more free time or peace of mind? =^.^=

I've had a fairly high maintenance portfolio over the past decade or so, but that was by design and it's worked out well for me... I'm essentially to the point where I'm more concerned with capital preservation than all of growth at this point, so I've decided to baby step my way to a more simplified portfolio in early-2025... This essentially means funds taking a larger allocation of my portfolio than they have historically (including a big push into Bonds). It's admittedly been slower going than I thought going in, but it's working out well and I feel myself accelerating things recently. Stock investing is my favorite hobby, so I'll always have some complexity but far less than I've had over the past decade.

I've been rebalancing into more dividend kings and selling off losers for the tax advantages. I also bought a bond ETF, a thing I never thought I'd do, but that's holding a chunk of my cash to hopefully earn more than the HYSA it was in while still being fairly liquid. Just fumbling toward ecstasy. I have vague ideas about crash-proofing my portfolio but all my efforts are logic-based, not market-savvy, so... we'll see where that takes me. Also been watching for my favorite tuxedo cat to show himself. 👀😁 Always enjoy your posts.
