The market is still risk-off. Defensive sectors beat offensive ones by 2.8% this week, the same gap as last week. Consumer Staples (+3.8%) and Utilities (+2.9%) were the top two sectors. Financials (+2.5%) was the only offensive sector near the top. At the bottom were Communication Services (−4.5%), Technology (−3.6%) and Industrials (−0.7%). SPY and QQQ both closed below their 50-day averages. QQQ lost 3.2% on the week.
