Not a very scientific or technical thesis but when retail investors start piling into memecoins, in my POV markets are reaching a top or are at the top. Seen this story playing out in 2022. When memecoins surge it means retail investors are too confident and are just about jumping into anything which is generating a buzz without understanding what they are putting their money into. Another observation.. we are again staring at a consumer debt crisis. Q2 GDP was revised upwards to 2.2% driven by strong consumer spending but at a time when consumers are struggling with basic needs, how are they able to spend so much? The answer - credit cards. credit card debts have increased to insane levels and along with it delinquencies are also increasing. I think we are soon approaching a phase where banks will have to start writing off debt (not a good sign). Bank earnings this week will hopefully provide some insights into health of consumer debt as $JPM$C$WFC all report. These are just my thoughts..not financial advice or not saying anyone should act based on this post !! $NVDA$AMD$COHR$GLW$BE all ended the day down while oevrall markets held up.. why? high yields are another factor to be considered. sustained high yields are never good for companies which are loading up on debt to finance their growth. Too many things for the markets to keep climbing higher in my opinion. Just my thoughts, not financial advice or a call to take action. ✌️✌️
