I know this is Blossom...however if I can help a future family I will spread awareness... My sister was killed by a drunk driver last Wednesday... she was riding in the back of an Uber with a friend. The Uber was travelling on an 8 lane highway with a big concrete meridian separating their four lanes from the other side. The drunk driver decided to get into his truck, enter the wrong entrance, (probably passing multiple do not enter signs) and go onto the highway and straight into four lanes of oncoming traffic. Around 12:14am on September 23, 2026 the truck hit my sister's Uber ride head on killing her and her friend instantly and leaving the Uber driver in critical condition. The drunk driver walk away unharmed with no injuries. The driver was arrested and Crown is reviewing the file before any charges gets laid. Based on talking to the lead investigators charges will most likely be coming down the line. I've stopped many impaired drivers in my career and it sucks that I couldn’t have stopped this one...please don’t drink and drive. My sister’s life was taken away because of this driver’s decision stupid and selfish decision. Spread awareness...if we can save a few lives thats still huge. One thing I've learned through talking about money and investing is that we spend so much time worrying about our net worth, our portfolios, and what we can afford. But none of that matters if we don't make it home to the people we love.
