When I was a kid, I remember hearing a saying: ”The early bird gets the worm”. I recently searched this phrase on Google to see the definition. This is what it came back with: Definition: Being first improves the chances of success. The early bird gets the worm is a proverb which emphasizes the importance of starting something early to maximize the potential outcome. Origin and Use: This English expression first appeared in a 1605 book of proverbs by William Camden. The idea behind the expression is that the birds that wake up the earliest have the best chance of catching a good meal, since no other birds have awoken to pick for worms. Likewise, people who arrive first have a better chance than those who arrive late. ————————————————— Can this phrase or proverb be applied to purchasing certain stocks? Recently, a couple of stocks that I’ve held for a while have started pumping up quite significantly. The two stocks I’m talking about are $ASTS and $RKLB. Both of these stocks should be considered highly speculative and highly volatile. I think most people can agree that these should be considered very high risk stocks! On the other hand, there is “a chance” for making large gains in these particular stocks, IF you purchased these stocks EARLY.🤔🤷♂️ In this case, I think the phrase “the early bird gets the worm” can be applied. Those investors who purchased these two stocks “early”, at a relatively “low price” are currently being well rewarded, as these stocks are currently pumping up quite significantly, making those investors holding these stocks, very large gains. Of course no one knows for sure what will happen with these stocks, or any stocks for that matter, in the future. No one has a crystal ball.🔮 But as of the present, I’m pretty sure all of the holders of $RKLB and $ASTS are enjoying their large unrealized gains!😂 I first started purchasing $ASTS on Aug 15, 2024 at a price of $31.74 per share. As of market close this past Friday, $ASTS closed at $115.77 USD.  My total position in $ASTS is sitting at gains of +231% or +$43,091 CAD.🔥👍 For $RKLB, my first purchase was on Nov 27, 2024 at a price of $25.24 per share. As of market close this past Friday $RKLB closed at $96.30 USD.  My total position in $RKLB is sitting at gains of +253% or +$93,874 CAD!🚀🌖 Big shout out to “rocket man” @anthony.invests for letting me know about $RKLB. In terms of $ASTS, i’m not sure where I first heard about that stock. I think I discovered that stock on my own, just doing some research or reading about market news. Just a warning that for both of these stocks, and for other similar stocks, one should consider these stocks “high risk - high reward”. These stocks may not be suitable for certain investors, or may not be suitable for the majority of investors to hold! Never risk more money than you’re willing to lose!⛔️☢️⚠️‼️ It is NOT a sure thing that stocks like these two will pump up and make you a lot of money. It is NOT EASY. If it was easy, then everyone would be doing it, and everybody would be rich (instead of just some people)!😂😂 In other words, to make large gains on stocks like these, it may not be easy, because you may need to have a lot of patience and conviction, and you may need to have large 🏀🏀 of steel!😂😂

What’s amazing is how high the valuation $RKLB has gotten to. It has the same market cap as $PYPL which is crazy. I ran a comparison on the two and part of the reason I sold a large chunk of my position.

On the rigs we used to say the early worm gets eaten. So I guess you better first recongnize what you are and understand discernment and timing beats bravery every time.
