We all come from different places, with unique journeys, lessons learned, and reasons for investing. It's this very diversity that makes our community so powerful. However, I've recently noticed an unsettling trend: an increase in unnecessary negative posts on the passive income approach Some posts seem to dismiss, misrepresent data, or push the idea its Ponzi Scheme. I respect every investment strategy. Personally, approximately 70% of my portfolio is allocated to growth funds like $XEQT, $VFV, $QQC, $VTI, $SCHG etc. My TFSA and non-registered accounts, however, are geared towards income, primarily covered call ETFs in both Canada and the US - $MSTE, $MSTY, $TSLY, $HHIS, $ULTY, $YMAX etc This balanced approach works for my specific financial goals, and your strategy should unequivocally work for yours. We have fantastic role models across the spectrum: @moementumfinance & @karyungtom exemplify growth investing and still show respect for income strategies, even if they don't personally use them. On the income side: @perryf, @paulsantori, @cjs033, @incomewealthinvestor, @kyletfreedom75, @riggs and many more openly share their real-life successes and challenges This is the essence of what our community should embody: Respect Continuous learning Healthy debate For some, growth investing is about building a secure future. For others, income investing provides a vital lifeline in the present. Both approaches are entirely valid, and both deserve equal space and respect within our community. Let's commit to lifting each other up. The moment we start tearing others down, we jeopardize the very foundation that makes the Blossom community so special.

Great point Zain! I always say that the best strategy is the one that works for you & that you will stick to through the good & bad times! I do notice that many post severely criticize income investing .. I say if it’s not your style & not your money then carry on & let others manage their own finances .. The main reason I joined blossom was that the mentor I consulted told me about it & I needed to surround myself with positive like minded investors that believe in the long term vision … I have blocked several people that were always negative towards others as I find that very disturbing & I don’t want the negative energy! At least it’s an easy feature to remove some negativity & help each other stay supported & focused 🙏🏻

Well said Zain! 👏 We all have different investing strategies depending on our needs and wants. One is not better than the other? The best investing strategy is the one that works best for YOU! Thank you for the thoughtful post. In my situation when I joined Blossom in March of 2024, I was 75% growth, 25% income. Over time, I realized that the income strategy better fit my needs and wants after researching positions and discussions with Blossom peeps. Do whats best for you and your family. Excellent post Zain. As someone who has been almost exclusively ultra high yield for over a year the negative posts are tiring to see. I have given up defending my personal position on these posts, because I know this strategy is working for me and don’t need to prove it to anyone anymore. However there are still a few posts that offer educational merits.

Great leadership is about calling out others for their good deeds. A willingness to educate and help others without bias. You have done this and more! Finance is a personal preference for everyone on this platform and there is no right or wrong. Always be respectful, even when not respected. I have gone through my round of income battles time and time again but never blocked anyone but not saying I haven’t been blocked 😂 Great Post Zain! You’re an income community champion M8!
