Wait… I Own a Corporation Now?!
September 9, 2026. Definitely a date I’m never forgetting.
Today I officially opened my corporate accounts and became a first-time corporation owner… and ngl, it still feels kinda unreal.
What started as a small side hustle 2 years ago while I was grinding through my engineering degree has slowly grown to a point where incorporating actually makes sense.
It’s crazy thinking about it because I never started this expecting it to become something this serious. I was literally just trying something on the side while studying engineering, learning as I went, making mistakes, reinvesting, and slowly growing it.
Now the business has reached a size where taxes are becoming a much bigger part of the picture, and incorporating gives me more flexibility to keep more money inside the business, reinvest it, and hopefully scale this thing even further.
Still a longggg way to go, but this one feels like a real milestone.

Also, I know there are a lot of business owners and incorporated people on Blossom, so I’d genuinely love to learn from you guys.
If you own a corporation, what are some things you wish you knew when you first incorporated? Any tax/accounting hacks, banking tips, ways you manage expenses or reinvest profits, or little things that made running the corporation easier?
And most importantly, what mistakes did you make early on that you’d tell a new corporate owner like me to avoid?
Drop your experiences, lessons, and tips below. I’m basically entering a whole new learning curve now and I wanna learn from people who’ve already been through it.
