Its all about the future of datacenters. In ballot memorandums in the latest election, only 1/41 initiatives passed in favor of data centers. Voters are overwhelming opposed to their construction. If you can't easily build new datacenters, then you don't need to order more semiconductors. Not good for those companies such as AMD, SanDisk, SK Hynix, AMD, TSM, Nvidia. And even worse for the neoclouds like $CIFR$IREN$NBIS Meanwhile, the companies that are supposed to be building them, $GOOG$AMZN$MSFT, the market thinks today will save a ton of money abandoning their plans to build and their stocks are rallying. However, investors are losing sight of the fact that this is likely an extreme overreaction in my opinion, and that Trump has veto power. https://youtu.be/xBXPNV1RgHI?si=Gm0WKzRv271-DVom

today was a capitulation i feel as well, lots of margin calls. emotions are high, the dust will settle. and if the US slows data centers they will just be built outside the country. Dems will be held accountable for the loss of blue collar jobs. which will spur the data center buildout on home soil yet again
