Will AI shopping agents really hurt $AMZN ? The concern is pretty simple: if an AI agent finds the product and decides what to buy for us, do we still need to browse Amazon and see all those sponsored ads? Rosenblatt thinks that fear is overstated and just raised its Amazon price target from $335 to $360. I can see the argument. Amazon already has something outside agents don’t fully have which is years of shopping behaviour, inventory, pricing, reviews and its own advertising ecosystem. And Amazon is building its own AI shopping experience too. AI shopping could definitely change how we buy things. But I’m not convinced that automatically means Amazon loses. It could also mean Amazon adapts and becomes one of the biggest players in agentic shopping itself.

The biggest issue that Amazon will face is keeping their employees from unionizing. AI shopping will only get better with time. I hate going shopping at a physical store
