I was reading Richest Man in Babylon, got till cure #7, and this line caught my eye: "increase thy ability to earn." I've been working 60-70 hour weeks, no social life, two jobs. No fancy high paying job, so I figured this was the only way to not get behind in life. (Not literally competing with anyone, just a phrase.) But I'm at the ceiling of trading time for money now. You can't do more than that. 3-4 years, no vacation, just double shifts. Something has to change the only thing left is to increase my hourly worth. I've been following @bdinvesting for a while. Electrician, running a big discord community, making content on instagram, tiktok, X, doing podcasts, and interviews. One source of income is one too many. You can always earn more. And @tqrad888$5M portfolio. I'm pretty sure that came from "thy ability to earn" first, investing second. Let this be a reminder to anyone still figuring it out: people have done it before us, and people will do it after us. We just have to find our own way in our own time. But "increase thy ability to earn" that's the project for now.
