Everyone’s worried about Chinese competition, but I think they’re missing something CXMT is mainly expanding in regular DRAM used for phones and computers while Micron’s HBM is a different game. AI chips need specialized memory, and you can’t just swap suppliers overnight like it’s nothing. Micron has already secured a lot of future demand, and AI data centres are still going to need massive amounts of memory. If supply stays tight and demand keeps growing memory prices and Micron’s earnings could go a lot higher. Obviously memory is cyclical and competition will eventually matter. But I think the market might be pricing in the fear before it shows up in Micron’s actual business. That’s why I’m watching the fundamentals instead of just panicking over the headlines. 👀Not selling my position.
