Happy Dusshehra 2026
We celebrate Dushehra as the victory of good over the evil and an auspicious festival embarking the importance of truthful living leading to real prosperity in our lives.
It teaches us the importance of truthful conduct and defeat of all the evils. According to the Hindu mythology, Shri Ram Chandra Ji ( Lord Rama) killed Ravan ( King of demons ) and hailed the Triumph of Truth over Evil. Every year a huge effigy of Ravan ( along with his brother Kumbkaran and son Megnath) are burned to ashes followed by fireworks.
My grandmother used to tell us that we should always make the righteous decisions in life, earn a truthful living and then we are blessed with prosperity.
Especially two weeks before Dushehra she would give us some sacred seeds to sow in earth and water them for around 10 - 15 days , so that the saplings would grow. Finally on the day of Dushehra she would give us those sapling/leaves 🍃 ( Jaun) to tie up with hair, to be successful in life. But now growing older, I understand that she tried to teach us the importance of investing our time & energy into something that would grow over time to give us high returns. Just like investing your money 💰.
So today I wish to share my Grandma’s wisdom with you all and hope that this festive season brings loads of happiness and prosperity to you all & your families.
Happy Dushehra to everyone in the awesome Blossom Community and May you all get blessed with prosperity & success 🙏🏻.
